The Family Life Commission has the task of supporting the heart of the Christian Community- the family. By strengthening the relationships of individuals within a family, it should enrich the growth of holy families and assist those families encountering difficulties.
The Family Life Commission supports and encourages engaged couples, marriage, and families. Prayer partners are assigned to every engaged couple in the parish as they prepare for the sacrament of marriage. Father Reynolds recognizes anniversary milestones by offering a blessing for couples during mass.
A representative from the team of Baptism Home Visitors welcomes new babies by going to the home and presenting gift bags to the families, and inviting them to the next Baptism preparation gathering. Mothers engage in weekly discussions and fellowship as the MOMs program has been renewed in our parish.
The Family Life Commission maintains the Nursery and provides two childcare providers during the Sunday morning mass.
Children celebrated St. Nicholas Day with a preview of the DVD of St. Nicholas, Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt, and show their dedication to Mother Mary with the May Crowning.
Our outreach to the parish community includes: meals for families of newborns and families experiencing hardship, those who visit the homebound, and our greeting card ministry. “Seasons of Hope” is a source of healing for those parishioners experiencing the death of a loved one.
